SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE BIE VISITS THE SHANGHAI WORLD EXPO 2010 AUTHORITY
Sr Vicente Loscertales, Secretary General of the BIE, met with Hong Hao, Director of the Authority, and Zhong Yangqun, Standing Deputy Director during his visit to the Shanghai World Expo 2010 Authority for a three-day progress and development briefing, including special regulations for participants, the "Best Practices Region" participation, co-ordination with Expo 2008 Zaragoza and Expo Online.

MORE THAN 9,400 PERSONS TAKE PART IN THE ZARAGOZA EXPO 2008 DEVELOPMENT TOUR
Since its launch last December, more than 9,400 persons have taken part in the popular Zaragoza Expo 2008 Development Tour, a special co-ordinated Bus Tour of the Expo site and surrounds

by the Expo's Visitor Information Centre, enabling participants to the Tour to gain a 'sneak preview' of the site under construction. Due to popular demand, the 45-minute Tours now run every weekend and on public holidays every hour on the hour from 10am to 2pm, and make two stops within the Expo site itself. ESPAÑA POST TO LAUNCH SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE STAMP FOR ZARAGOZA

Correos ESPAÑA will launch a special commemorative stamp and postmark for the Expo next year.

In a unique and informative Japan promotion for Shanghai World Expo 2010, a 'Expo Express' eight-carraige train for the Tokyo-Kanagawa Keiyu Line, featuring throughout advertising and information panels for the Shanghai Expo, has been launched. Over 2 million passengers use the service per day.

JTB FIRMS UP FOR SHANGHAI
JTP - the Nihon Kotsu Kosha, or Japan Travel Bureau, Japan's largest tourist organisation is firming up its involvement with Shanghai 2010. A key working partner for Aichi World Expo 2005, JTB is looking into how it can use its extensive knowledge and experience for 2010.

SURVEY: EXPO EXPECTS OVER 70 MILLION VISITORS
A recently compiled survey indicates the Expo will receive of 70 million visitors, many of which will arrive by plane, and some 30% of which will arrive at the Expo by train.

 

KOREA AT SHANGHAI 2010
The Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency, responsible for the Korean delegation to Shanghai 2010, was today represented at the Expo site by President Ki Hwa-Hong, who was briefed by
