Entertainment
Theme Weeks at World Expo '88
Every
day was a special day at World Expo '88 - and with only 185 of them -
each one was a lifetime's experience - never to be repeated again....
As
well as entertainment brought to the Expo during the various
Australian and international National
Day and Corporate Day Ceremonies, each
week at the Exposition site had it's own special theme - reflecting a
different
look at the Exposition's overall theme of 'Leisure in the Age of
Technology', where signage at the principal gates of the Expo; the
leading maestro clown (on stilts) with stated theme week placard, and
bandwagon of acrobats and performers in the Day Parade; and
entertainment at the Expo's leading live arts venues, from the River
Stage to the Piazza and Amphitheatre, announced to all the Expo
Theme Week.
Here they are!
